Volkswagen ID.4 and the Oregon EV Rebate
The Volkswagen ID.4 is currently included on Oregon's official eligible vehicle list for the Standard and Charge Ahead Rebate programs. The current list identifies 2025 and 2026 Volkswagen ID.4 models as eligible for a Standard Rebate of $2,000 and a Charge Ahead Rebate of up to $7,500, subject to the applicable program requirements.
This makes the Volkswagen ID.4 an option for Oregon drivers interested in an all-electric SUV while exploring available state rebate opportunities. Because eligibility can change, shoppers should confirm the vehicle's eligibility on the official Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program website before completing a purchase or lease.
Additional Program Requirements
There are several requirements to keep in mind when applying for an Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate. The vehicle must be purchased or leased from a licensed vehicle dealer or an eligible manufacturer. Person-to-person sales do not qualify.
Rebated vehicles must also be registered in Oregon and remain registered for at least 24 months. Eligible battery-electric vehicles must be capable of traveling at least 75 miles on electricity. Other vehicle requirements also apply, including requirements concerning vehicle condition and eligibility.
Individual applicants are limited to two rebates per person over the lifetime of the program. The Standard Rebate and Charge Ahead Rebate cannot be combined.
Applying for the Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate
Oregon residents purchasing or leasing an eligible new electric vehicle may be able to apply for the Standard Rebate at the point of sale if they purchase or lease through a participating dealership. When available, the dealership completes and submits the application, and the rebate amount is deducted from the purchase or lease price.
Applicants can also submit a rebate application after purchasing or leasing an eligible vehicle. Applications generally must be submitted within six months of the purchase or lease date. Charge Ahead applicants have additional income verification and prequalification requirements.
