At Volkswagen of Salem, we get asked often about electric vehicles. We're happy to say you can find one here at our dealership, and more on the way in the future. We're able to guide you through current choices and what to expect down the line to give you the chance to consider switching to an EV.
Right now, drivers can currently purchase the Volkswagen ID.4. It's a crossover that seats five and has single- or dual-motor options. You're able to get around 201 to 295 horsepower depending on the setup, and a quality driving range of up to 275 miles before it needs to be replenished, which can be done at public charging stations or with the right at-home setup. Many gravitate toward the ID.4 because it offers lots of modern features and is a quality vehicle for riding around in town.
Some vehicles will be added to the VW lineup that are electric options soon. This includes the Volkswagen ID.7. It's a spacious electric sedan that has premium features and amenities onboard. It uses both single- and dual-motor setups as well, with rear- and all-wheel drive setups. It figures to offer 282 horsepower standard, while being able to reach up to 300 miles of total range on rear-wheel setups, with potential for more from dual-motor options. The vehicle will be available in showrooms like ours in 2024.
One of the more anticipated future models coming our way is the Volkswagen ID.BUZZ. it's based on VW bus vehicles from the past and will be a seven-passenger, fully electric vehicle. It will have a configurable cabin with fold-out tables and a removable console, captain's chairs, and more. It's set to have at least 260 miles of range and will have quick charging times as well as loads of features.
