The 2022 model year brings us the last Passat models headed to dealerships. VW has decided to focus its efforts on other options, including new and exciting electric models, so the sedan is on the way out. The final one rolled off the production line here in the United States and we're here to pay tribute.
The Passat debuted in 1974 as the Dasher, and has had many variations since. Many have counted on it as quality sedan that has appealing exterior looks, along with a practical and innovative interior, with new technology coming on board throughout the years to give you a modern experience. There have been sedan and wagon variants, and lots of style. It'll be a vehicle that will be missed, but all good things come to an end. Soon we'll have an electrified sedan similar to the Passat. There still will be Passat vehicles for sale in our pre-owned lineup, and we are here to service them as well to keep yours on the road and the Passat chugging along.
